I took the month of December off from events and workshops to spend quality time with my family and take time to rest, write and create 2018. I'm so excited to spend quality time with my family and embrace the Light the World Challenge. For the next 25 days I will blog about my family's progress,. Feel free to join us. #Day 1 #LightTheWorld. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or need inspiration email@example.com.
How often do we mindlessly purchase something for ourselves. As much as I try to embrace the minimalist lifestyle, I can easily fall back into the old mindset of the consumer. Wanting.....needing...desiring....and boom something else is now holding space in my home. Maybe I'll keep it for a while, pass it on, use it or never use it. Today, I commit to not purchasing anything for myself.......wait........that's way too easy. Instead, I will keep my eyes open, listen to my heart and purchase something for someone today. I have prayed that heavenly father will use me to purchase something for someone today. It's a 14 hour shift day for me, I'm working at two different jobs, but I have faith something amazing will happen. Stay tuned to see how the day unfolds. I will share my journey with you all tomorrow.
How will you Light the World this season?
"Freely ye have received, freely give".
Well......my day didn't end as planned but the family saved the day. I arrive home at 10:00 pm, sadden I was not able to complete the challenge for Day 1. Lucky, the family was in on the mission, Zack and the kiddos made chocolate rice crispy treats. They waited until I got home so I can place the treats in a decorated box and send them off with the kiddos. We gave the treats to a family of 5 in the neighborhood. #Teamwork. :)
