Zack Richards served as a Scout Platoon Leader for the United States Army during the Iraq
Campaign in 2011. During this time, Zack practiced daily meditation techniques as taught by Buddhist Master
Thich Nhat Hanh’s Mahayana tradition in order to better enable himself to handle the stresses experienced in
a combat theatre.
After returning from deployment, he received his Masters in Sustainable Solutions from Arizona State
University and began a career in water policy and water quality compliance.
Upon marrying his angel, Ericka, Zack was introduced to and inspired by the philosophy and commitment of
Ashtanga Yoga. After many Mysore practices, Zack felt confident enough to apply to the 800 Hour Advanced
Yoga Teacher program at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) where he was introduced to
mentors of various backgrounds and yoga styles. He has sought to bring the awareness of body, breath, and
mind that he has experienced through the practice of yoga to his students.
Zack’s classes typically include Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini Breathing Techniques, Deep Yogic Sleep,
and Yin. He enjoys weaving ancient mythology into his poses, along with the wisdom of the Sutras for a more
Ericka Brian is a graduate from Arizona State University majored in Health Science (healthy lifestyle coaching). Ericka received her yoga teacher training at Chopra Center University where she was taught by Clair Diab, Dr. Deepak Chopra, David Ji, Caroline Myss, Byron Katie and many other great spiritual teachers. She is also a graduate of Health Science Academy as a Nutritional Therapist.
As founder of Return to Yourself Wellness, Ericka has worked in a variety of healthcare settings such as acute care physical therapy, outpatient physical therapy, psychiatric hospitals, health clubs, corporate wellness events and various charity events. She also has been a guest speaker at Mesa Community College, 2017 WonderOUS Woman Conference, 2017 Marreel Awardee and much more. Click here to learn about more events Ericka has participated in.
